sock monkey {niles, mi baby photographer}

In a round-about way this family was referred by one of my best friends, so I knew it was going to be a good session! Say hello this handsome, 3 month old, baby boy. He had the cutest nursery, decorated in a sock monkey theme. He also has a gorgeous smile...and a gorgeous mommy!

Thanks, guys! It was fun to meet you!

super cool {elkhart baby photographer}

This happy, handsome kid belongs to a super cool family. Super nice, too! Please welcome this new Baby Stepper to our {jennyhoke}photography family! So excited to watch this guy grow this year. I hope we can convince his super cute big sis to get in front of the lens...maybe even his super momma and daddy, too?? It was a pleasure to meet you guys this morning. I just knew that this guy was cool as soon as we met. The last picture here...sealed the deal!! Isn't that AWESOME?!

all boy {granger, in family and toddler photographer}

For a people lover-people watcher-family gal type girl like me...it doesn't get much better than this. Spending time with these amazing families...watching them through my lens. The connections. Somebody pinch me. I must be dreaming.

This busy boy could not ask for better parents. They are a perfect match. Mom and Dad have just enough energy to keep up with him and keep him out of trouble. They came equipped with a song they knew would get him smiling (think Handy Manny!) and a harmonica. A harmonica! Perfect! I think I need a harmonica in my camera bag now.

I love this next image! I think I would blow it up big and hang it on the wall. I think this is when he was really getting into Handy Manny. Love it!

peach {elkhart baby photographer}

The cuteness factor was high yesterday afternoon. Imagine an afternoon spent with these two adorable 9 month cousins (this post and the one below) and their families. Not to mention the beautiful river setting in the backyard. This is my fourth time photographing this Peach. And she just keeps growing more cute each time. She was extra fun this time...talking and jabbering, playing patty cake with those chubby fingers and giving me extra sweet smiles. Take your time getting to one year old, sweetie. I will miss seeing you every 3 months!

Don't you love the dimples?! I love photographing my 9 month Baby Steppers. Such a fun age! Then it gets me thinking that I only have one session with them before they turn 1. But when I look at those adorable dimples, baby rolls, and bright happy eyes I'm happy again. I had a great time with these two 9 month cousins (this post and the one above) yesterday. I can't help but smile when I think of the fun these two will have growing up together.

little man {mishawaka child and family photographer}

This little man sure made us work for smiles today! But you can 't really tell it from these photos. Isn't he adorable?! And look at big sis and those gorgeous eyes. This family of 4 helped me make the most of a wet, gloomy morning. Looking at these images almost makes me forget the rain that was misting on us. Almost! Thanks, guys! It was great to meet you.

charmer {goshen family and baby photographer}

Say hello to this charmer. He was a bit stingy with his smiles but his charm and shiny, dark eyes more than made up for it. He was sitting up like a champ...until the wind kicked up! This was his 6 month Baby Step and I love visiting him in his gorgeous farm house. I don't even know if I can call it a farm house. It is beautiful! A perfect fit for this gorgeous family of 3!

See you in a few short months!

sweet face {north liberty baby photographer}

Would you just look at that precious face?! It was a pleasure to meet this 8 week old sweetheart yesterday (and her super cool brother and mommy). This session was actually to redeem a gift certificate from last Christmas. But you'll be seeing this sweet face again (and again). She's already on the schedule for her 1st Baby Step!

Baby J was as sweet and laid back as she looks in these pictures. And at 8 weeks, she flashed me a bunch of joyful smiles. Loved that!

Thanks, guys. Can't wait until next time!

happy birthday {osceola family and child photographer}

Help me wish this darling brown eyed girl a very happy 2nd birthday. This is the 2nd time that I've photographed these beautiful girls. I can't get enough of these 2. Mom always picks out the perfect outfits. And those ribbons in their curly locks just makes me grin. This time I had the added pleasure of photographing mommy and daddy, too. They make a gorgeous family of 4. Don't they?!

Thanks, guys! I hope birthday party was lots of fun. I can't wait until next time!

grin {granger child and family photographer}

You may remember this beautiful family from Christmastime last year. They've added one and he is just as adorable as his big brother. Wouldn't you say? We started in the nursery and then Big Brother showed me his new room. I couldn't get enough of his adorable grin. I always love to revisit my clients and yesterday was no exception. It was wonderful to see you guys! Can't wait to see Baby D at his next Baby Step...if only double chins looked that cute on everyone!!

charmer {goshen baby photographer}

This little fella is such a charmer! Moments after being woken from his nap, he flashed me his gorgeous smile and I just knew it was going to be a fun shoot. This was the first of his baby steps and I can't wait to watch him grow this coming year. Mom had all sorts of great ideas and we incorporated his family cradle that dates back to the 1800's and his fun quilt that his grandma made him. There are even more fun props that you'll see later this year.

Thank you, guys! You make a beautiful family of 3! See you in 3 short months!

wildflowers {mishawaka maternity photographer}

Earlier in the week, I had spotted this absolutely perfect field of wild flowers at camp. I had all sorts of ideas running through my head. Brenda and I snuck away one evening, only to find that the beautiful field of flowers had been mowed down. We managed to find a tiny spot with some left and we made it work!! There is a baby boy in that round tummy but doesn't she look beautiful in pink?

boys!! {thumb of michigan child photographer}

While I was up at camp last week, I got the opportunity to spend a little time following this crew of brothers around. I totally loved it! I'm the oldest of 3 girls and I have 2 daughters, and three nieces on my side of the family. Needless to say, I'm usually surrounded by pink and glitter and all things girl most of the time. (Not counting the dirty fingernails I have to clean daily, because my girls are digging for bugs and worms.)

These boys are gorgeous and fun-loving. Just look at those dark eyes! Since we stay just one cottage away from each other, camp was the perfect place for our photoshoot. Thanks guys! It was a pleasure to spend time with you.

gumdrops and ringpops {thumb of michigan family photographer}

I had such a fun evening with this good-lookin' bunch. I went to high school with Kelly and Scott, so it was fun to see them again and meet their darling kiddos. The little spunky one in pink had me laughing the whole time! Gorgeous homes, beautiful meadows and fields, perfect evening lighting, genuinely nice and fun folks, cute kids, gumdrops and ringpops...it all added up to SUCCESS! Thank you for such a great shoot!
