this is my family | michiana family photographer

Friends, this is my family!  My Aunt Marlene is my dad's youngest sister and this is her beautiful family.  We had a very small window where everyone was available for this photo session.  Turns out that window did not coincide with a sunny day window.  We made the best of it and with their wonderfully coordinated navy and tan it was a success!  Their farm just happens to be one of my girls' favorite Michigan destinations.  It's overflowing with country fun.  Kittens, veggies and fruits galore in the garden and orchard, cows, chickens, and a faithful farm dog Josie Jane. 

Disclaimer:  If you're looking for a similar extended family session, I am probably not your girl.  Unless your family (wink).  There are always exceptions but for now I find my sweet spot generally lies within the kids and individual family sessions.

A whole lotta LOVE. And a whole lotta FUN.  A whole lotta GOT-YOUR-BACK.  A whole lotta GIVE AND TAKE.  A whole lotta GIVING A HARD TIME. A whole CHEERING SECTION.  A whole lotta BLESSINGS.  When you are born into (or married) into a family with seven children, these are some of the things I believe you can count on.  This large family session is something that I don't do a lot of these days, but when one of my favorite families calls...I answer with a big ol' YES!

This good-lookin' family certainly has a lot of fans. And you can count me at the top of the list. It's always a treat to work with them and Sunday afternoon was no exception. They looked great! And the weather could not have been better.

It's Fall ya'll. Even if the thermometer reads Summertime temps. I had such a fun morning with this beautiful family. Don't they look terrific?! You guys keep spoiling me with the great coordinated (not exactly matching) outfits. Love that!

This family knows all about teamwork. Especially when it involves 3 babies, one girly-girly and their darling smiles. Thanks so much for all your silly work behind the camera! They even brought an extra sillyman to help. Way to think ahead! I think it paid off. Don't you??

So, I walk in and it's my favorite sort of setting. Football game on, kids playing on the floor, crockpots on, and everyone is gathered together. I love it when families get together and even more so when I get to photograph them! The rain threatened to ruin our plans but we made the best of it and got the job done!
