What a way to start my day...photographing a gorgeous family in their beautiful home with lots of light pouring in the windows. How'd I get so lucky? As you can see, these kids are adorable! And this pretty little thing is 18 months old tomorrow. What a priveledge to get to document this special time in her life in photos. I even got a couple hugs out of the deal!

Peekaboo...I see you! This little darlin' turned one this month. Isn't she a cutiepie? I'm thinking these images may surprise her momma. Little darlin' didn't have smilin' on her schedule this morning and had her momma and I working hard (read making fools of ourselves) for those smiles. I always tell my clients that even though it may seem like the little ones aren't cooperating, you'll be surprised what we get. Hope you like them Mommy & Daddy! Isn't she sweet?! I got to spend a bit of my morning with this little one-year-old sweetheart. Meeting her and her family was such a joy! We held the session in her full-of-sunshine room. I love the personal touch that holding the session in her room gives. And we've already got the family shoot on the calendar for this spring. See you then!

These little sweetiepies melted my heart. When I arrived this little mister was ready to go! Smiling away on his Grandma's lap. And he didn't stop! He'll be celebrating his 1st birthday later this week. Big sis was still napping and we weren't sure if she'd come around enough for some smiles but she did not disappoint. And I'm so glad...look at those dark brown eyes and long eyelashes! Thanks, guys! And Happy Birthday, little buddy!

I am absolutely thrilled to share these images from this morning's session. Every time I get to snuggle a newborn, I am reminded just how precious those first moments are. They are beautiful moments...exhausted moments...sometimes loud and sometimes quiet...but they are fleeting moments. And that's why I am so happy that we got these images...to help remember.

Big sis had me running but she was a joy! I LOVE this last shot...makes me just smile! Isn't it funny?! Those cheeks!

Katie & Santiago aren't the only ones in love. I am in LOVE with how their engagement pictures turned out! We spent a chilly afternoon on campus but considering we are in the middle of Winter, we could not have wished for better circumstances. I had a hard time deciding which ones to share.
