Seriously, friends, its been a great morning. I've sat at my computer with these sweet faces looking back at me! It has been such a fun ride to watch this family grow in number and grow up. I just love these boys. So cute and sweet. We met at the end of last week to celebrate in pictures Oliver's 1st Birthday and Brady's 2nd Birthday! Isn't this just a precious child? I loved everything about this session. It just screams PURE BABY to me. One of my favorite types of Baby Step sessions. Her perfectly soft baby skin. Those eyes that sparkle and tell a story on their own. The soft white and pink. The white natural light that flooded in those windows. Those baby rolls. Oh my goodness. We decided to wait just a bit to make sure this baby was sitting up and it WAS TOTALLY WORTH IT! I know Momma is dying to see these sneaks so I'm not going to waste anymore time. Graham Daniel is a rockstar. Plain and simple. He was just settling in for a bottle and a nap when I arrived, and he changed gears and put his happy.face.on. Way to go Grahamers! Let me give you a little idea of what went down last Saturday. Like I said, he was getting sleepy but Mom and Dad knew just the right tricks to get their little boy smiling. We were upstairs. We were downstairs. On the couch. Outfit changes. On his tummy and his back. You name it. Then...THEN while we were changing set-ups, Mom sits Graham up. What? Yes, she sits Graham Daniel FOUR MONTHS OLD up. I was shocked and mighty impressed. I didn't even think to ask if he was sitting up. That will teach me.

Love, Lucas. Oh, he's a sweetheart. These boys (my first two sessions of the new year are families with two brothers) they are darling, I tell you. Don't you just love those little jeans, no longer than one foot long, and those bare toes?! Momma and I were talking about how big brother didn't get any teeth until close to one year but as I was clicking through his session it made me wonder...little Lucas could not get enough of his chubby fingers. We are grateful for the blessings that were brought in 2011. What a privilege to work with such amazing families. I'm excited for what 2012 holds, lots of beautiful faces are already lined up!

I am really enjoying my down time with my family. I've had just enough time to nurse my girls back to health after being sick with the stomach flu and strep. I even found time to get sick myself. Truly, though, this time with my family has been wonderful. Christmas pageants and concerts, baking cookies, visiting Santa, picking out the perfect gifts. Now we're ready to celebrate Jesus' birth and share family time with our loved ones. I pray that you have a special time celebrating Christmas with those you love. God Bless.

Way back at the end of October, I took that trip up to Michigan. Remember? Well, this session with my cousin Angela started in the dug-out. This was especially fun for me, since I ran these same bases and wore this same jersey. Well, not the exact same but you understand. :) Angela is such a beautiful gal, inside and out. And that made these sessions easy peasy for me. Angela is the last grandchild in my family. I fall somewhere in the middle so I easily remember her as a rollypolly baby. Can't believe she'll be graduating in the Spring. My fingers are crossed that she'll end up at college down here. Maybe I can talk her in to some babysitting for Reagan and Reilly?? :)

In other news, my camera is on it's way to the Canon Factory to get some maintenance work done so it will be ready to go come the first of the year. I'm feeling a little lost without her. ;) All of my current session disks have been delivered or are on their way. So I'm ready to settle in and enjoy everything this beautiful Christmas season has to offer. I wish the same for you and your family.

This adorable family, so added 10 new cute baby toes to their numbers. Clara was born in August and just like her Big Sis jumped on the Baby Step Train when we met up last weekend. She is a DOLLbaby! Just the cutest thing. As I sat at my computer to edit, I just wanted to reach right in and pinch (softly of course) those plump baby cheeks. I cannot wait to watch this pumpkin grow! This darlin' gave me exactly 4.6 minutes before she was whipped out tired. Thankfully, it was all the time we needed to capture her sweet little face and beautiful sparkly eyes. Just before she found her tiny thumb and began to drift off I thought I heard her singing Justin's song. :) You and your twin sisters are just the cutest things, Miss Sage.

This adorable toe-head has just turned 2 and that's something to celebrate! On our way home from Nana and Papa's house in Michigan, we got off the highway and met up with this good-looking crew. Our good, good friends who we don't get to see nearly enough. It so fun to watch our kids jump right into step after not seeing each other for awhile, though. That's what good, good friends do. We waited our turn on the bridge (I think there were almost 10 different photographers in the area that day!!) and then played in the leaves for a bit. We let the littles run off some wiggles and spend some quality time together before hitting the road for home. These kids just grow up too, too fast. :)

While in Michigan, I had the pleasure of meeting up with a friend from high school and her cute kiddos. The weather forecast made us wonder if we would get the chance to meet up, but it turned out to be just fine. A little chilly (I'm sure these kids would agree), but it wasn't gloomy and raining. The BIG DAY is almost here!! Opening Day for JHP's January - April 2012 calendar will be held on Monday, November 7th, 2012. Here's what you need to know.

I will begin scheduling limited January - April 2012 appointments via email on Monday, November 7 @ 9AM.

This opening will be OPEN TO EVERYONE. Existing clients and those new to JHP!

At 9AM sharp on Monday morning: email me with your interest, weekday/weekend preference, month preference, who will be photographed, package choice, location choice, etc. I will respond with possible dates and times and you'll respond with your choice. I will respond in the order I receive the emails but will confirm with those who reply first.

Be sure to provide an email address that you have easy access to all day.

Current prices found under the investment tab. Please note that there is no price increase at this opening.

A $50 non-refundable deposit is due to confirm every appointment (excluding follow-up Baby Step appointments). The deposit is due within 10 days, after which I will open the date to others interested.

The next opening will take place in March for May - August 2012.

I'm forever on a mission to find the perfect balance between the many hats I wear. With that in mind, the openings continue to be limited. Additionally, weekend appointments are the first to go. Please keep that in mind.

In the past, these openings have filled crazy fast. Please follow all of the steps to better your odds. And please feel free to email me with any questions you have before Monday.

I was on the farm last weekend. Reagan and Reilly were on Fall Break, so we took a quick trip to Michigan to visit family. My girls have a blast up there. Between playing with kittens, picking apples, feeding apples to the cows, help Papa harvest the beans, helping Nana make homemade applesauce, and playing with cousins they have enough fun to last for awhile!

While in Michigan, I squeezed in a little work and this beautiful gal was first up. You've seen my cousin, Angela, before when I did her summer session. This time we met for a Fall and Sports (which I'll share later) session. And in spite of the CRAZY weather (think rain/hail, grey clouds, sunny skies all wrapped up into one hour), she was a superstar!

I'm so glad this adorable family was part of my marathon week. These guys are no stranger to JHP and I always look forward to their sessions. Cute as can be. I could not get over the colorful backdrop and gorgeous early morning weather. This sweetheart is the little sister of one of our Baby Steppers. She's following right along in her sister's footsteps. Dark hair. Beautiful eyes. Precious. Sweet. Adorable. You get the idea, right? When photographing a newborn who is one month old it can get tricky. Newborns usually photograph best within days of birth. But we pulled out all of our tricks. Friends.

It's been a week full of wet weather around here.

Very wet. And gloomy.

But the good news?

Next week is looking sunny! And that puts a smile on my face.

Last week, we took a road trip and visited Mickey and his friends at Disney World. We had a super time and made tons of magical memories. These pictures were taken just after we had checked out of the Caribbean Beach Resort and were almost ready to head home.

An apple a day from these two darlings is surely the best medicine. I met up with this adorable family at the apple orchard earlier this week. It made for the perfect setting for Baby Brothers 6 month Baby Step session. Mom decided to add some individual photos of Big Sister and I'm thinking she made a brillant decision. This darlin' did such a good job, I think we should bestow her the honor of Apple Princess. I'm sure glad that fall follows summer. It makes it a bit easier to say good-bye. Honest to goodness. It doesn't get much better than this, friends. This precious, brand-new little soul was so sleepy and so adorable. She was a mere 10 days old but she performed like a champ. I could not stop oohing and ahhing. So precious. Big Sis and Bro hold their own in that department, too. Beautiful, beautiful children. And I feel blessed to be able to work with them.

Just got home from a fun week at family church camp. I was so excited to visit with these two, again. We met last fall for the first time and I was anxious to see how they'd grown. These two are just precious. They are a bit timid and shy...especially to crazy photographer ladies who make weird noises and puts all sorts of things atop their head. :) That's why it's such a treat to be let in to their world a tiny bit. That something special in the air in the home of a newborn baby?? Yeah, it was here. I could almost taste it. It was such a treat to meet and welcome this precious soul into our world. She was only 11 days new, when we met. But after dad's pep talk and the prayers that mom and I sent up...Briar Rose fell fast asleep. Just long enough for us to capture her beautiful sleeping face. Mom's first email after she was born said that her daughter was "cute as a button" and I would most definitely agree.

This good-lookin' family shared their beloved train museum with me and I loved it. These guys are passionate about their trains. As the boys got out of the car I could hear them saying things like, "Oh, look what they have on the track today" and "Mom! It's the {insert train lingo here}!" I love to see kids (and dads) get so excited about these things. It was a treat, for sure. I could have walked around and shot for hours at this cute train museum, but the heat and these darling&squirrely little boys called for promptness. Thanks for a great session, family!

Whoa is it hot outside! This family somehow managed to pull of this session with flying colors, in spite of the near record humidity. I always love to see their name on my calendar. This summer session was a nice change of pace from their usual fall appointment. Definitely no sweaters needed this time. Don't you love the summer look they came up with. Nice soft neutral colors. This dad is one lucky guy. Just look at the four beautiful girls surrounding him. I loved working with this gorgeous family. These girls sort of gave me a look into my past and future, and I loved it. I was the oldest of 3 girls and I've got twin girls myself.

With their oldest getting ready to head to college, mom wanted some family pictures. And we had the perfect evening for our time together. As we walked around campus ,we realized just what a small world we live in. Lots of connections.

The countdown is on! Monday morning is the official Jenny Hoke Photography Fall 2011 Opening Day. Here's what you need to know...

I'll begin scheduling appointments limited Sept-Nov 2011 appointments via email on Monday, July 18th @ 9AM with EXISTING JHP CLIENTS. This is new this time, but I'm giving it a whirl. Always trying to see what works best.
If, by chance, there are any openings available I will open the schedule to all interested on Tuesday, July 19th @ 9AM. I will announce the status of that on Monday.
At 9AM sharp, email me with your interest, weekday/weekend preference, month preference, who will be photographed, package choice, location choice, etc. I will respond with possible dates and times and you'll respond with your choice. I will respond in the order I receive the emails but will confirm with those who reply first.
Be sure to provide an email address that you have easy access to all day.
A $50 non-refundable deposit is due to confirm every appointment (excluding follow-up Baby Step appoinments). The deposit is due within 10 days, after which I will open the date to others interested.
I will not be taking on any work from Thanksgiving into the new year. The next opening will take place in November for January-April 2012.
As much as I LOVE capturing your memories, I love my family more. I'm forever on a mission to find the perfect balance. With that in mind, the openings continue to be limited. Please keep that in mind.
Current 2011 prices are found under the investment tab.
In the past, these openings have filled crazy fast. Please follow all of the steps to better your odds. And please feel free to email me with any questions you have before Monday.

I think we had the best Saturday weather of the summer! Beautiful blue sky, soft summer breezes, just right temps. The summer weather and this beautiful country setting together made the perfect recipe for a photo shoot. I love the personality that we captured of this silly goose (handsome, young fella). This sweet family always has some giggle tricks up their sleeve and I absolutely LOVE that! Like little family inside jokes. Last time it involved Honeydews and this time it involved pigs and moos. Or was it horses and moos?? Either way, it worked!! This session documented year 4 for that pretty little gal above and 18 months for the handsome gent below. Loved the look they put together, too. A little fun pattern. A little coordinating colors. Throw in a coordinating stripe. And voila. Picture perfect.

Another Baby Step graduate...I'll never get used to how fast that first year flies by. These little ones go from sleepy, immobile, helpless, tiny people to independent, walking, running, talking, loving little kids. I know I say it every time but it's been a treat watching sweet Ivey Grace grow this year. Every couple of months getting to watch her new-found skills.

As soon as Ivey saw her daddy, she raised her hands to the sky telling him that she wanted to be in his arms. She's such a daddy's girl that that is where she intended to stay the entire time we were together. So precious. Thanks for an incredible year, family! It's been a pleasure.
