Won't you help me wish this darling Baby Step Alumni a happy 2nd birthday!  I'm positive her mom will agree; it seems like just the other day we were capturing her newborn photos in that same exact spot.  I know I sound like a broken record, but I think it comes with the profession.  It is just plain crazy how quickly time flies by.  The flip side of that is we get the amazing privilege to watch these little babies turn into incredible little people.  Beautiful people.  Beautiful people who shoot me these happy expressions (like the one above) and sweet, soulful expressions (like the one below).

Maria, I hope you have a super fun birthday party this evening!  I hear the giggles and belly laughs already.  

Don't forget, friends.  Summer 2014 Opening Day takes place on Monday morning (March 3)!!  Be there or be square.

I had a great visit with Hannah Grace and her sweet momma.  She's joining our Baby Step family at four months and following in her big brothers' footsteps.  This sweet girl was singing and talking my ear off for most of our session.  I'm not sure if she was entirely happy the entire time but my tricks were just enough to cause a few smiles.  I'm already looking forward to our next session.

SUMMER 2014 OPENING DAY DETAILS:

• I will begin scheduling limited May through August 2014 appointments via email on Monday, March 3 @ 9AM.  
• This opening will be OPEN TO EVERYONE.  Existing clients and those new to JHP!
• At 9AM sharp on Monday morning :  email me with your interest, weekday/weekend preference, month preference, who will be photographed, location thoughts, etc.  I will respond with possible dates and times and you will respond with your choice.  I will respond in the order I receive the emails but will confirm with those who reply first. 
• PLEASE NOTE:  I am offering one package this Summer (and Fall).  The $100 It's my Birthday package WILL NOT be offered during my extra busy months.  This does not affect your Baby Step sessions.
• Be sure to provide and email address that you have easy access to that afternoon/evening.
• Current prices found under investment tab.  Please note that there is no price increase at this time but I am moving to digital downloads rather than a disk sent in the mail.  If you would still like to purchase a disk, they are available for an additional $25.
• A $50 non-refundable deposit is due to confirm every appointment (excluding follow-up Baby Step appointments).  The deposit is due WITHIN 10 DAYS, after which I will open the date to others interested.
• The next opening will take place in July for September through November 2014.
• In the past, these openings have filled very fast.  Please follow all the steps to better your odds at securing a session.  And please feel free to email me with any questions you have before Sunday.

We recently painted the girl's bedrooms.  Reilly choose Berry Cheesecake which is a peachy pink and Reagan chose Spa which is a aqua color.  We LOVE them both!  But it was a great opportunity for a quick little mini sesh with their new Matilda Jane Clothing.  It happened to be close to Valentine's Day so we threw a few hearts into the mix.  Love is in the air!

Happy Weekend, friends!  I'm loving this sunshine.  The wind...not so much.

Hey, Henrik.  You are such a joy!  "You must have so much fun with him," I remarked to Henrik's parents.  This after I had spent the previous 45 minutes with a huge smile stretched across my face.  So much joy and happiness.  I loved my time spent with you guys and am so blessed to watch your little one grow up in front of my lens.  Thanks for another great session.

Those eyes.  They are so blue.  And so sweet.  I melted every time he shot his momma that sweet look.  We met for his eight month Baby Step last week and it is a good thing we did.  I think we barely made it as he turned nine months soon after.  I'm so grateful for all my adorable Baby Steppers (Max and his big brother Caiden included).  I just love them.

Elise!  Isn't she the sweetest thing?!  Oh so happy and content and just all around perfect.  Darling, cute, and adorable, too.  ;)  This is one of my most favorite ages to work with.  Sitting up so well but not quite crawling.  We had the perfect corner to work in their home and we captured the best parts of this Baby Step milestone...sitting up, the rolls, the fingers and toes and the joy.  Thanks for a terrific session, Miss Elise.
