good stuff | osceola family photographer

These beautiful children could not have been more cooperative.  Such a great session.  I knew it would be with these beautiful faces.  I may have gushed a bit too much, but I don't think they minded.  I just knew, looking through my lens, that we were getting some good stuff.  Really good.  So thanks for being so cute.  And thanks for being so cooperative.  You guys rock!

a gem | mishawaka children's photographer

I told this blue-eyed fella that he was a gem.  And I meant it.  He's so clever and he did such a nice job when we met last week.  It was hot and humid but he did exactly what I asked of him and a little more.  That "little more" consisted of more gems of his very own, which had his momma and I laughing.  I just love kids!  Thanks for a great session, friends.

willa | saint mary's family photographer

Doesn't Willa look absolutely darling in her Matilda Jane?! This cute vintage picnic session was a lloooonnnngg time in coming.  We had to reschedule for every reason you can imagine, multiple times.  But I am just so excited to welcome this cute family to our JHP family.  I loved the details of this one.

Thinking you might like to use some cute props at your next session?  I would LOVE that and would be happy to collaborate with you.  I love to use props that are meaningful to you.  These quilts came from Willa's great grandma.  I think the vintage picnic basket came from a friend.  I usually count on you to gather the props.  I would need a warehouse to house all of the stuff if I collected too much.  I wouldn't want to use the same props in every session anyways.  So that's where you come in! :)

Thanks for an over the top adorable session, Willa & Co!  I can't wait until next time!!

a gaggle | mishawaka family photographer

This was a marathon session and really a favor for one of my very best friends.  I do not usually take on many large group families anymore (you will notice you won't see any large group photos in this post), but there are always exceptions and this happens to be one! :) A whole gaggle of blonde hair and blue eyes.  You can definitely tell that this group belongs together.  This last little blondie (Hey, Syd!) with the most beautiful blueberry eyes is my Reagan and Reilly's very first BFF.  They were born within a month of each other and actually their due dates were only a week apart.  She's a keeper, for sure. ;)

b | new buffalo baby photographer

Baby Briar Biscuit at the Beach.  Lots of B's.  She looked just darling in her pure white dress at the beach.  It's been such a fun year watching this little gal grow.  I secretly love watching the parents grow, too.  This one has been especially neat since I've known Jamie for awhile.  It does my heart so good to see the amazing mother she has become.  She is so in love with her little family.  And she's incredibly in tune and attentive to her darlin'.  So incredibly sweet to witness.  Talking about sweet, I can't leave out daddy.  He's got a confident, calm to him that is just what his girls need.  And now I better push "publish" before I start to get too sentimental.  Happy 1st Birthday Miss Briar!

family | notre dame family photographer

We are in for a treat!  This session is a bit of a change for me, and I loved every second.  From the moment I spotted them walking up (looking fabulous as can be!!) to the very last click.  You will notice that there are no little people in this post.  No small children...just a father and three of his grown up kids, but they are definitely just as adorable.  Thanks, family, for a wonderful session.  You were so kind and those million dollar smiles are just amazing.  Blessings to you all.

candles | mishawaka children's photographer

This session felt like it was a long time coming.  Even if it really wasn't that long.  This sweetheart's aunt contacted me last Christmas after she had found my website.  She wanted to purchase a gift certificate for her niece as a Christmas gift.  What a perfect gift!! Wink.Wink.

It was such a pleasure to meet this fun family.  We got to know each other while we walked around campus.  That's one of my favorite parts of my job.  Just getting to know these fantastic families.  I realize time and time again what a small world we live in.  So many interesting connections.  And so many adorable little people!

P.S.  We started our session at the Grotto, where we got some beautiful images with the candles in the background.  A little birdie told me that those images would be some of the favs from the session. I adore that little inquisitive look on her face in that image below.

chloe | mishawaka child photographer

Meet Chloe.  I first met Chloe when I was a table proctor in the Book Bonanza at my girls' school.  As a photographer, I was struck by those stunning blue eyes.  I just knew they would photograph well.  Here we are a couple of years later, and I got that privilege.  And I've just got to say...I was right. :)  Stunning. Yes?  Thanks for a fun evening, Chloe & Co!

happy | south bend family photographer

My job has many perks, and one of my favorite is meeting all of you fabulous CUTE families.  We had a beautiful summer evening for our walk around the county park.  This little one was a ROCKSTAR.  I mean it.  Such a cute little one year old.  He had me just cracking up.  Between his sweet, sweet grin and his head boppin' between momma and daddy.  He was just HAPPY.  And we love happy around here!

Thanks for a super fun session, guys.  It was great to meet you!

momma heart | michiana family photographers

Oooh, that first image.  Doesn't it just make your momma heart skip a beat.  (I'm talking to the ladies, here:)  These guys are such troopers.  The weather always tries to interrupt our photo session plans.  From sprinkles, to blazing hot humidity and this time it was dark skies, rain and lightning.  We decided to meet a couple hours later and made it work.  Thanks for being so flexible, friends.  It is always such fun to see you.  I'm so thankful for the chance to reconnect.  If only I could figure out how to sit down for a glass of iced tea and a chat, while snapping pics.  Then we'd be in business.

these two | south bend photographer

Ohhh, my brain must have turned to mush in the heat last week.  I'm just back from a week on the farm with my parents.  I got this post all ready to go and forgot to publish while I was gone.  So sorry.  I just LOVE these two.  I was so excited when Vicki contacted me because I knew our time together would be a blast.  So sorry for the delay.  You guys are adorable!
