briar rose | mishawaka baby photographers

That something special in the air in the home of a newborn baby?? Yeah, it was here. I could almost taste it. It was such a treat to meet and welcome this precious soul into our world. She was only 11 days new, when we met. But after dad's pep talk and the prayers that mom and I sent up...Briar Rose fell fast asleep. Just long enough for us to capture her beautiful sleeping face. Mom's first email after she was born said that her daughter was "cute as a button" and I would most definitely agree.

all aboard | mishawaka family photographers

This good-lookin' family shared their beloved train museum with me and I loved it. These guys are passionate about their trains. As the boys got out of the car I could hear them saying things like, "Oh, look what they have on the track today" and "Mom! It's the {insert train lingo here}!" I love to see kids (and dads) get so excited about these things. It was a treat, for sure. I could have walked around and shot for hours at this cute train museum, but the heat and these darling&squirrely little boys called for promptness. Thanks for a great session, family!

just plain cool | mishawaka family photography

Yes, it sure was hot. But this sharp dressed family was just plain cool. Daddy and daughter had something special going...something about pigs and hippos. I can't remember for sure but it got that genuine smile and giggle to come out. And it did the trick. Thanks for a fun session, family. And thanks for keeping your cool in spite of the heat. It was a pleasure!

sage | bremen newborn photographer

She's so sweet. And so cute. And I feel so lucky to be invited in to meet these sweet little people. What a miracle. And a blessing. She's a beautiful addition to her already special family. And I for one could not be happier to have a front row seat to watch her grow this year. Welcome to the Baby Steps Baby Sage and welcome to the world!

childhood | south bend child photographer

I'm so excited to share this beautiful family session with you. Mr. JHP and this daddy go way back. Way back. I think they met somewhere around 1st or 2nd grade. They pretty much spent most of their childhood together. He was even the best man in our wedding. So as you can imagine, I was thrilled when they contacted me for 2 year portraits of their special little man.

Oh, those eyes. And eyelashes. Isn't he the cutest thing?! Thanks so much for a great session, guys!

such a princess | south bend baby photographers

No it wasn't a black tie affair, but it could have been. These three looked terrific as we met for our final Baby Step. Insert pout face here. Goodness, it's been a good year. She's cute as a button and adored to the moon and back. Such a princess. I can't wait to see where those chubby toes and little feet take you my dear. Thank you for a fabulous year!

whoa! | mishawaka family photographer

Whoa is it hot outside! This family somehow managed to pull of this session with flying colors, in spite of the near record humidity. I always love to see their name on my calendar. This summer session was a nice change of pace from their usual fall appointment. Definitely no sweaters needed this time. Don't you love the summer look they came up with. Nice soft neutral colors. Nice texture with the ruffles. Coordinated but not exactly matching. Nice job, family! It was a pleasure. And...Go, Phillies!

lucky | south bend family photographer

This dad is one lucky guy. Just look at the four beautiful girls surrounding him. I loved working with this gorgeous family. These girls sort of gave me a look into my past and future, and I loved it. I was the oldest of 3 girls and I've got twin girls myself.

With their oldest getting ready to head to college, mom wanted some family pictures. And we had the perfect evening for our time together. As we walked around campus ,we realized just what a small world we live in. Lots of connections.

Thanks for a fun session, family!

blue | bremen baby photography

Say hello to this super cute little one. Momma always has him looking his best in cute little boy outfits. Always makes the photographer in me smile. He is as busy as the next one year old baby boy, but when he pauses and those baby blues look my way...bingo!

Happy Weekends, friends! Monday is the big day. I can't wait to fill my calendar with Michiana's best-looking families.

tanner | goshen child photographers

Hey, friends! I just wanted to post a few more from Tanner's train session since the ones I posted before were edited on the laptop. This location is perfect for your train loving little guys. I think it'd be great for a family session full of textures and grungy colors, too.

**Don't forget Monday's Opening Day for Fall 2011. Find all the info a few posts down under fall opening.

happy 1st | elkhart baby photographers

Happy 1st, Baby! Wow. It's been so fun watching you grow this year! I'm still scratching my head, trying to figure out how it's time for you to graduate. Between you and your big brother I've been visiting your house for 2 years! What am I going to do without those visits?

yawn | elkhart baby photographers

Welcome to the world, little buddy. We're so glad you are here. I met up with this cutiepie this week. He's one month old and is such a sweetie. I snuck some snuggles in between takes and oh, it did my heart good. Blondie is one our early Baby Steppers! I love it when I get a yawn. So sleepy. Can't wait to watch you grow!

As always, THANK YOU for your amazing support and for sharing your amazing families with me and my lens. I am forever grateful for this opportunity. I'll end with my version of Ferris Bueller's quote "Life moves fast. If you don't stop AND TAKE PICTURES, you could miss it." Cheesey? Yes, but you get the idea.

angela | mishawaka senior photographer

Allow me to introduce my beautiful cousin, Angela. She's the youngest cousin on my dad's side of the family and it's been fun to watch her grow up. She was just a toddler at my wedding. As soon as she asked me to do her senior pictures, my mind started spinning with the possibilities. Her's did, too. I'm so happy with the results that I'm only going to sneak a few at a time. I hope you love them, Angela!

hometown | michiana family photographer

I've hit the ground running and have been a photo editing freak...with a stop for a DQ run and the park with Reagan and Reilly. It is summer after all. ;) Please help me welcome back to the blog this gorgeous brown-eyed family. Rach and I have been friends since high school and I was thrilled when she contacted me about a Michigan session. We had to work around her beloved hometown parade but I was happy to oblige. Hometown parades are where it's at around Independence Day, right?! Just so happens this hometown parade day coincided with the hottest and most humid day imaginable. How cute is this curly-head little mister? I especially love the eye-twinkle below, right. Thanks, guys. It was a pleasure.

Isn't she just a perfect pink blossom to start your week?! Can you believe she's on her way to her first birthday? What a special gal.
