This senior certainly lives up to her name. As cheesy as it sounds, she was a complete "Joy" to work with! The camera loves her! And I'm in LOVE with the images we captured! In the midst of all of this crummy weather we've been having, we were blessed with a perfectly beautiful evening for our photo shoot.

Hey, Joy...if that nursing thing doesn't work out, you could always give modeling a try! Which reminds me, I need to clarify something with my senior here. To finish our conversation from last night...Yes, I did change my nursing major soon after arriving at college. But I did , indeed, graduate...just a few years later and with an elementary education degree. I, later, thought that it may have sounded like I was just done with college when I was done with nursing. Stay in school! Get that college education!

The time has come to wish this Baby Step graduate a Happy (belated) 1st Birthday! It has been a complete joy to see this smiling face every 3 months this year. And it's been fun getting to know him and the rest of his beautiful family.

I still need to figure out how to make these Baby Steps graduations easier on myself. I LOVE working with these beautiful babies!

This beautiful high school senior gets the award for driving the furthest. All the way from my hometown! I love it! We had little chance for a reshoot so it's a good thing the weather decided to cooperate. She was an absolute dream to work with. "Umm...do you think you can walk down into that mud and sit like this?" Her answer was always "Sure!"

She wanted the shoot to have a fall feel. I think we found fall. Thanks so much, Brianna and fam. You were great to work with!

So thankful for a break in the yucky fall weather. The sunshine on Saturday was a breath of (chilly) fresh air. Wasn't it? This gorgeous family was a breath of fresh air, too! :) I had a ball with these guys...walking around the county park on a gorgeous fall evening. Little S is just darling! I'm scratching my head again...wondering how I get so lucky to work with these beautiful families? I'm a lucky gal.

Happy 9 months, Babycakes! We met up last Friday morning to celebrate her. My how she's changed since we last saw her. How about that look in the last pic?! I think she's saying..."Hey, Momma? Tell me again why I'm wearing a lamb costume??" Ha! Thanks, girls. It's always fun to see you.

Make no mistake about it...this kid is happy! What a fun guy to spend a part of my evening with. He was ready to go as soon as I knocked on the door. Mom and Dad must have given quite a pep talk! And watch out momma's...this one year old will melt your heart! So precious. I first met this family last winter. And if I remember correctly, there was quite a blizzard going on outside. This time it was chilly, but I'm so glad we were able to get outside. Handsome little guys in sweaters and corduroy coats...it doesn't get much better!

Say hello to this gorgeous gal. She turned 10 in August. And we took a walk around campus in October to celebrate. Well, that's my story at least. Love the freckles...and the grin...and the pink hair in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month...and I love the sister thing that these two have going on. Super cute girls!

I got to spend some time with these 2 pumpkins at the pumpkin patch yesterday. I was thrilled when Mom suggested holding their fall shoot at the patch. Recognize these baby blues? I personally can't get enough of them! I'm so glad that mom keeps calling me! I love the blue and orange and CUTE pumpkin clothes. Thank you for a fun shoot and the indian corn.! You guys are too sweet.

Happy Birthday to sweet, sweet M! Hard to believe that she'll be turning 1 tomorrow. I had the honor of photographing her when she was just days old. And it has been so much fun to watch her grow this year. It's been extra special to see her every three months because I usually get to see the rest of her family...who happen to be my family, too. You've seen my cousin and his beautiful family before. We met up on campus and it just so happens that this is where this love story began. Thanks for everything guys. It has been a pleasure.

Watch out, ladies! This is one cute fella! I can hardly stand it...that peacoat and sneakers. And that little happy grin. I had a great time walking around campus with this gorgeous family this morning! If you happened to see us talking to the puppies (squirrels), baa-ing (think sheep) or crazy dancing just know it's all part of the fun! And the real smiles that we get are all worth it! Thanks guys!
